2,447 Students from over 100 schools participate in this significant national survey
SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 04: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today conducted an inspection of the Rashtriya Sarvekshan 2024 at Boys Middle School, Sheikh Mohalla in Zone Batmaloo.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that the Rashtriya Sarvekshan is a nationwide survey that assesses the academic skills of students in grades 3, 6, and 9. The survey aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the school education system and provide feedback. The survey covers a wide range of schools, including government, government-aided, and private schools.
He also added that the Rashtriya Sarvekshan 2024 is a large-scale national initiative aimed at comprehensively assessing the progress of students across the Foundational, Preparatory, and Middle Stages of education.
This effort aligns with the ambitious goals set forth in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, ensuring that the educational landscape in India continues to evolve and improve.
As many as 2,447 students from over 100 schools participated in this significant national survey, which included 58 Government Schools, 41 Private Schools, and 6 CBSE Schools.
The survey featured a robust sample size of 2,447 students with 105 invigilators and 105 observers overseeing the process.
During the visit, the DC was accompanied by Chief Planning Officer, Chief Education Officer, and District Education Planning Officer, besides other concerned.
