Sopore, November 30:- The Sopore Police recently organized a Sports Festival at the Soin Sadnar Sports Stadium in Rafiabad, featuring a friendly cricket match. The event, which drew a significant crowd, saw the Sopore Police Cricket Team face off against the Soin Cricket Club.
After winning the toss, the Soin Cricket Club elected to bat first, setting a challenging target of 137 runs in 18 overs. The Sopore Police team, despite a strong start, couldn’t quite chase down the target, falling short by 25 runs.
SP Sopore, Smt. Divya D-IPS, graced the occasion as the chief guest. In her address, she commended the youth for their active participation in sports and highlighted the importance of police-community collaboration in addressing social issues like drug abuse. She emphasized the role of sports in promoting healthy lifestyles.
The local community expressed their appreciation for the police’s initiative, recognizing its potential to strengthen the bond between law enforcement and the public.
