BUDGAM, NOVEMBER 13: The Cultural Unit Kashmir of Department of Information and Public Relations, J&K, in collaboration with Government Degree College (GDC) Chadoora on Wednesday organized a day-long awareness program on substance abuse themed ‘Say No to Drugs.’
The program featured thought-provoking speeches by students, emphasizing the importance of rejecting drugs and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
Speaking on the occasion, AECO Cultural Unit, Syed Shakeel Shan urged students to play a vital role in eradicating drug abuse from society.
He emphasized that we must collectively combat the menace of drug abuse, and our youth have a crucial role to play in it.
Rouf Adil, Program Coordinator, GDC Chadoora, assured full cooperation to the Cultural Unit for future programs.”We’re committed to supporting initiatives that promote social well-being and student empowerment” he further said.
Renowned folk singer Feroz Ahmed Shah enthralled the audience with thematic songs, reinforcing the message of substance abuse prevention.
Mementos and certificates of appreciation were distributed among winners of the speech competition who showcased exceptional oratory skills.
1st, 2nd and 3rd positions were bagged by Mutahid, Sajid Amin and Rouf-ul-Manzoor respectively while a trophy from Cultural Unit DIPR was presented to Principal, GDC Chadoora, for supporting the event.
