Gulmarg, Oct 25 – Following a temporary suspension, the iconic Gondola ropeway service in Gulmarg resumed operations on Friday, officials confirmed.
The service was briefly halted after a militant attack on an army convoy in the Botapathri area, resulting in the loss of three soldiers and two army porters.
Authorities reopened the Gondola service to visitors at around 12 Noon on Friday, an official told the news agency Kashmir News Trust. This move is expected to bring relief to tourists and locals alike, eager to experience the breathtaking views of the valley.
As the second-longest and second-highest cable car service globally, the Gulmarg Gondola is a major attraction, drawing visitors from worldwide. [KNT]
