“Thousands participate in congregational prayers’

Srinagar, Aug 30 (KNO): The Urs of ‘Sultan-ul-Aarifeen’ Hazrat Sheikh Makhdoom Sahib (RA) was observed with great fervour in Srinagar on Friday, with devotees from across Kashmir visiting the shrine despite inclement weather.

According to details obtained by the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the atmosphere at the shrine was vibrant and filled with devotion, as people continued to gather throughout the day, undeterred by the rain.

Abdul Rashid, a local from Srinagar, “It is a tradition to visit the shrine every year. Be it rain or snow, it is our faith that brings us here.”

Farida Begum, who travelled from Budgam, expressed her sentiments, saying, “The shrine is our hope and signifies peace for us. I have been visiting here for a very long time, as it is a place where I find solace.”
