Sopore, 23 Nov. 2024:In continuation of its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Sopore Police have arrested three drug peddlers and recovered Contraband Substances from their possession.
A police party of Police Post Fruit Mandi headed by IC PP Fruit Mandi PSI Rashid Khan under the supervision of SDPO Sopore Shri. Sarfaraz Bashir-JKPS and SHO PS Sopore Insp. Ayaz Gellani during naka checking near Fruit Mandi Sopore apprehended three persons namely:
1. Mohsin Manzoor Gojree S/O Manzoor Ahmad Gojree R/O Noorbagh Sopore
2. Imtiyaz Ahmad Najar S/O Ghulam ud Din Najar R/O Nowpora Kalan Sopore
3. Ali Mohammad Lara S/O Mohammad Amin Lara R/O New Colony Sopore
During the search Police Party was able to recover 20 grams of contraband Brown Sugar like substance from their possession.
In this regard, case FIR No. 241 under relevant sections of Law has been registered at Police Station Sopore & investigation has been initiated.
Sopore police urges the common masses to give information regarding narcotics or any other crimes to the nearest police establishment or dial 112.
General Public is requested to cooperate with police in curbing the menace of drugs from the society. We reassure the community members that police will act tough against the criminals as per the law.
