‘Reaffirms commitment of Omar Abdullah led government to holistic development of J&K’
KULGAM, NOVEMBER 15: In a major step towards bolstering local infrastructure, Minister for Health, Education, and Social Welfare, Sakeena Masood today inaugurated newly constructed Shaheed Wali Mohd Itoo Memorial Bridge at Aadigen in Kulgam district.
The truss girder bridge, built at an estimated cost of 1.43 crore, marks a long-awaited development of the area aimed at enhancing connectivity, improving road safety and fostering economic growth.
Speaking after the inauguration of bridge, the Minister underscored the Omar Abdullah led government’s steadfast commitment to holistic development, emphasizing that improved transportation infrastructure is key to enhancing the quality of life for residents.
She added that this bridge is expected to significantly ease travel and transportation challenges for residents, reducing commute times and providing better access.
“Government is working towards sustainable progress and inclusive development of J&K”, Sakeena Masood said.
The Minister reiterated the government’s inclusive approach to development, encouraging active public participation in ongoing and future initiatives aimed at modernizing infrastructure and promoting economic well-being.
“Our efforts extend beyond infrastructure. They are about addressing the diverse needs of every individual in our region and ensuring a brighter future for all,” she said.
The event concluded with the Minister reaffirming the Omar Abdullah led government’s resolve to prioritize people-centric projects, fostering growth and progress across Jammu & Kashmir.
