Srinagar, October 21: Prominent political leader Vivek Bali has strongly condemned the recent militant attack in Gagangeer, Ganderbal, which tragically claimed the lives of seven individuals, including five non-locals. The attack, targeting laborers and staff working on a tunnel construction project, has underscored the grave threat faced by civilians, especially non-locals, in the Kashmir Valley.
In a statement issued here on today, Bali expressed his deep sorrow and condolences to the families of the victims, calling the attack a “despicable act of cowardice.” He appealed to the government to provide immediate financial assistance to the family of the deceased and each injured person in best possible way.
Bali emphasized the urgent need for the government to prioritize the safety and security of non-locals working in the Kashmir Valley, particularly in vulnerable areas. He also demanded that all injured individuals should get the best possible treatment.
Bali stressed that such attacks not only cause immense suffering but also hinder development efforts and create a climate of fear. He urged the government to take immediate steps to enhance security measures and ensure the protection of innocent lives.
