Woman injured in Bear Attack in Tral Village, Shifted to SMHS hospital

TRAL, September 28: A 55-year-old woman was seriously injured after being attacked by a bear at Mandoora village of Sub Division Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, on Saturday.

The victim, identified as Saleema, wife of Zahoor Ahmad Bhat, was working in her orchard when the incident occurred. Locals informed Sachnews that the bear suddenly attacked her, causing severe injuries. She was rushed to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Tral by the locals, where doctors treated her initial wounds. Due to the severity of her injuries, she was later referred to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for advanced medical treatment.

BMO Tral, Dr. Zahoor Ahmad, confirmed the details to Sachnews, said that Saleema (55) sustained Puncture wounds on her left buttock, upper back, and left forearm. She was referred to SMHS Hospital from SDH Tral for further care.
